Winter is here, and with the New Year approaching, it’s a great time to check in on what you have in place and prepare for what’s ahead in 2026. At Bruce Hofbauer State Farm, I enjoy helping individuals, families, and business owners feel confident about their insurance coverage—whether that means reviewing current policies or exploring options for the year to come. I’m proud to serve customers across California, Arizona, and Oregon, and I truly value the long-term relationships we build along the way.

I’ve been a State Farm agent since 2000 and have worked in the insurance industry with State Farm since 1988. While my office is based in San Diego, I work with customers throughout California, Arizona, and Oregon, including communities such as Rancho Bernardo, Poway, Ramona, and Escondido. Our team helps with a wide range of insurance needs, including auto insurance, homeowners insurance, renters insurance, life insurance, and small business insurance, along with additional State Farm offerings.

Our office is known for being friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. We take the time to explain coverage options in clear, straightforward terms so customers understand how their insurance works and what it covers. Whether you’re insuring a home, vehicle, rental, or business, we’re here to answer questions and help you feel comfortable every step of the way.

While we keep a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, we take our work seriously. As a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), I bring formal training in risk management and property-casualty insurance, and I approach every situation with careful attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.

I’m originally from Bloomington, Illinois, and a graduate of the University of Illinois. After college, I spent several years working with State Farm Claims in Chicago before relocating to California more than 20 years ago. My wife, Katie, and I have three grown children, and family and community are central to our lives. In our free time, we enjoy camping, skiing, boating, and hiking with our yellow lab and chocolate lab. I stay involved locally through Toastmasters, where I’m a past president, and through my involvement with the San Diego CPCU Society Chapter.
